WHY SHOULD UFONE BE BOYCOTTED?
If people started punishing the guilty ones for the crime then this
world will be a much better place. The top telecom provider of Pakistan clicked
the heart on a politically inclined tweet. Suddenly, half the population of the
world decided to boycott Ufone. I understand some people have some humanity
left in them and they chose to use it on the one person with the most corrupted
background. But why is it that when Muslims are being blamed for any terrorist
attack, they decide to hide their humanity under their bed? There's a slight
malfunctioning in such people's brains if they think they prove themselves
brave and independent by deciding to boycott Ufone. My only question to them is
where are your guts when you have to take a stand for innocents being killed
all over the world?
The official Ufone account on twitter liked an image, is
it too hard to understand a person or a group of people (no matter on which
post they are) have enough rights to express their opinion? If the image
mocking the prime minister of Pakistan offends someone, they should track the
person who created the image in the first place.
It sounds sane when someone takes their anger out on that
deserving candidate. Just because it is easy to boycott Ufone than to take a
logical stand, doesn't mean it should start trending all over the world. A
person should show their real strength by expressing their rage through correct
steps.
Ufone apologized for liking the image and yet people are
hell bound on boycotting Ufone. Even if Ufone made a huge mistake, (which,
according to me, was not at all wrong) there is a noun called 'Forgiveness'. I
believe there is a quote, too that says,
"Everybody deserves a second chance.'"
People put their humanity on display when someone mocks the slogan 'Go Nawaz
Go'. Yet, the same amount of people goes under hibernation, when they see
someone committing a crime. Explain to me the logic of not taking an action
when there is a huge need of one.
To all those people supporting the trend of boycotting
Ufone, how about we all stop for a moment and focus on what actually feels
right. Ufone being criticized for a tap on the screen or people taking actions
on someone enjoying their rights? To me, the latter one sounds more like
squashing water. IT HAS NO USE. Sure the criticism got Ufone to apologize, but
apologies make a person bigger in nature. If such critics assume they did the
right thing, think about the time you apologize to your loved one to keep the
relationship going even when it is not your fault.
